  • Tender fingers from vacation

I went on my first vacation in about 7 years due to health issues with family. We went to the Outerbanks of North Carolina. I didnt have room to take my guitar so i didnt play for 10 days and was depressed about this situation before we went. I broke my year plus streak of picking it up everyday. One day on the trip i had to drag my wife to a guitar shop to get myself a tee shirt from the Outerbanks Jubelli music shop and guess what happened. No I didnt play a guitar or buy another one. What happened was another shocker in my life……My wife picked up a ukelele and before i could strum a chord,so to speak, I bought her a uke, with a hard case and tuner. We got home yesterday and she can already play C,D,E,Em, G,F,A,Am Chords…. We sang and played You are my sunshine. I woke up this morning to the strumming of a uke.

I may have broke my playing string of the year plus but i definitely gained a playing partner at home…😀

Nice! It’s fun learning “The Lava Song” on the Uke.

That’s cool! You had a nice streak going there, now you can work on breaking your record.

I’m sure your guitar has forgiven you @MarkD66 , and to go to the Outer Banks is a win-win in my book, but a triple win is buying the uke for your wife and having a playing partner now. How cool is that!?!

    I’d take that trade-off any day @MarkD66 👍 That is a spectacular #small win🤩
