Loved it! Great song, great execution. I like how you’re making the tune come alive by modifying the chords, I might use this video as a tutorial 🙂

Thank you @Alisa I have been developing my own style of playing. It’s strumming, picking and clawing all rolled into one. Why? I can’t sing worth a spit so I let my fingers do the singing. LOL Tony P did say to create our own style of playing & to develop it. I am trying. 😊🧙‍♂️😎

@Bill_Brown The hat is next to me… I forgot to put it on when I started to record. It was going too well to stop recording. LOL 😝🧙‍♂️😎

    Well done Marty.

I am actually learning this song myself now and have the chord progression down pretty well. But the strumming pattern gives me trouble. It’s hard to decipher listening to the original because there are multiple guitars playing, so I have just been reverting to the standard D-DU-U-DU strum. Just doesn’t quite feel right that way though.

I’ll watch yours a few more times. I like the use of your pull-offs. I can do the one on the main G-chord rather easily now, but see you also sprinkle in a few more to spice it up. Nice touch.

    Take care,

    David

Thank you @David_G Try using your strums like the words of the song. Voice them like your singing it. Like I said, I am using strumming picking and clawing to make the voices some what come out. Just a hint. Sing with your strums. Try it. 😊🧙‍♂️😎

Interesting, I’ll give it a shot.

Been playing for 17 months (15 in TAC) and one thing I’ve learned early on Marty is singing while playing is really hard. I have new respect for performers who do both.

This is a journey, hopefully I’ll get to the point to be able to do both seamlessly.

    Thanks for the advice,

    David

Mr. Marty69, I always enjoy the songs you perform. You “made it your own” with the rhythm and cadence that you came up with, different and intriguing.

Yeah I miss the hat too ! 🤠 Omar
