Walk in for strings and out with a Martin (New Guitar Win)
My small win (loss to the pocket book) took place last night. Walked into Guitar Center to get some Martin Retro strings and decided to check out the acoustics first. I picked up a Martin Road Series Special with a sunburst sitka spruce top and cirrus sides and back, and fell in love. Planned to spend $10 on strings, no $1k on the guitar. Been noodling all day.

There are cheaper ways to get new strings but they don’t have quite the euphoric impact! Congratulations.
