  1. I agree with Scaleygaol and Mr. Monkeyshines, below. Using a 3 finger variant to play the 7th chords is really effective.

    1. I often feel exactly like that. Where I arrived, is to finish a lesson without too much time spent, then go back to a previous lesson. Personally, I’m of a mindset that at though “momentum over mastery” is a good motto to keep me moving, I feel the need to at least get the technique enough to carry that technique forward. Strike a balance without feeling your behind. Nothing is chasing us. Move forward when you feel ready to move forward.

  2. I know this lesson is about using vibrato while playing chords, but I’ve been looking for a way to play these type of 7th chords without hitting the surrounding strings. Never thought to use a fingerpicking method. So, that’s the small win I take from this lesson.

  3. As someone else wrote, my pointer finger can pull down more than the ring finger and create a buzz. Time, practice, and patience.
QUESTION: I noticed that Tony finishes with three A7 strums, I read but two A7 chords on the TAB. Is there some notation I’m missing, or is that author’s license?

  4. This was a really good lesson. I took me a few minutes to get the string plucking correct and some of it sounded OK and some of it was a little wonky. LOL. I like being able to use the Vibrato with a chord shape. Will take practice like all techniques. Have fun. 🙂

  5. I am going to work on the more the merrier again, but I am not sure if I’m doing this whole construction lessons correctly in order how do I know if I’m following the right sequence of when to start what to start with? I’m confused.

  6. Vibrato is new to me as well, especially chord vibrato. Add to that finger picking that I’m not used to, and I’m in very new territory. After several repetitions I started getting the hang of it though still not so great. but the more I repeat it the better I get. That’s what practice, practice, practice is all about.

  7. Before I saw this video I was bending the chords we learned on my own, just for fun. Didn’t sound great but again I had a good time with it. I will be able to do it better now. Thanks
