I learned a lot from the Fretboard Wizard. I got midway and I had to ask help from the community. So…… get stumped? ask for help. It will all come together. I’m going to redo it myself. There is a lot of information in the course.

Your guitar playing came out great and your voice is great.

Congrats on joining us. Once you make the “daily challenge” a habit, it will get easier and easier.

I agree with @Alfun , there seems to be a big disconnect with the TAC community now. The forum is what made the site special. It is so slow and has been since the change, I wonder if this was done on purpose so people don’t use it? It used to be fun to read different comments, watch the songs being sang and song, But now it takes too long for anything to load. The forum seemed to work fine before? Why when they updated it, did it become so painfully slow? Maybe they want to do away with it so they can just use the facebook page instead? As for the daily challenges…. Mondays it’s hit or miss if they challenge will be there. When I joined the TAC family I was allowed to copy the video and tab. Now…. I am on a time limit to get my tabs copied and saved and I can’t download the video. I think that was a big takeaway.

I had issues yesterday also. I didn’t screen copy the error message but something on the order of “can’t find”. It was all better mid day.

  • I never would have tried this on a more expensive guitar. But, I am really happy that I gave it a try. Now…… If I see someone getting rid of a guitar because of damage, I wont be afraid to take it off their hands.

Congratulations on a rescue guitar! I have one of those myself. Mine had a little issue with the neck pulling loose from the body. Ugh! I’m attempting to fix it myself. the real test is putting strings back on. I haven’t gotten that far yet.

I couldn’t lose by giving it a try @ted_h , I’ll guess the guitar cost $40 brand new. It would have cost more than that to have it fixed at a guitar store. Now, I am on the look out for damaged guitars that I could get cheap (or free) and practice something else.

You know, it did feel good @John I’m glad I gave it a try. I put classical guitar strings on it when I had completed the project. Now that… was different. I had to pull up a video to figure out how to make the strings stay on.

Don’t laugh @Marty69 , it’s a “First Act Discovery” My brother gave it to me to use as a travel guitar, it used to be his son’s guitar. But I ended up using it a lot more than I thought I would. It’s a ¼ size and it is perfect for me to work out scales at my desk without having to worry that I’m going to bang up one of my larger guitars. Usually use it for my daily challenge because it’s right next to my desk. I’m really happy I decided to fix it.

@Loraine I can’t believe how slow the forum is since the update. I don’t think it’s actually going to be fixed. It would have been by now. ,

Yes, it is. Since moving my music studio in the basement I get a ton more playing done. My husband moved an overstuffed chair with ottoman down there too. Maybe he thinks if it’s closer to the washer and dryer I’d get some housework done 🙂
