I had to go over the course a lot and took heavy notes, But, I think I have it and I feel I am ready to put together my own song. I had to turn to “community support” on some things that just weren’t making any sense to me and I have to say it was great support! I think I would have given up otherwise. I am now on the last section called “Write your own song” and I am totally geeked. I think the Fretboard Wizard program is coming up pretty soon and like I said…. It’s well worth it , because then you’ll be able to connect the dots of when Tony is talking about in the daily challenges. He makes comments of Key of this, or that. Makes comments about the number system, universal rules, etc. It will all make sense. Good luck. Just remember to put your guitar where you can easily pick it up. As my mom used say….Out of site, Out of mind.

It would be harder for me if Tony just said A note. Then it would be where’s the A note, which A note. If I am writing my own tab it’s easier to update with Lo-E string , 5 fret.

@Loraine You did a great job with this song. This isn’t as easy a song to play as you would think it is, and you sang along with it! Again, Good job and thanks for the post!

Thanks, after taking the course a lot of stuff made a lot of sense.

Good luck on the course. It was a tough. I joined up with the wizard when I joined the group. Is it available at any time? I thought I read something that it was available this April. Or I’m I mistaken?

The fret board wizard comes up every so often. I thought I heard in April. Make a new discussion and ask when it starts. Someone should know. You don’t want to miss out. It answers so many questions you might have. Don’t quit it either , if you are having issue ask for help.

The furnace is in a enclosed room so I never hear it turning on. Maybe the washer and dryer I can hear, but I can rest assured my husband isn’t going to come downstairs to put in a load of laundry. 😉

My move wouldn’t t be a full move just for a playing area. I’m so cramped in my present room. Also being on the main floor I have to be quiet till my husband gets up. I’m an early bird I like to get up by 5:00am my husband more like 9 or so. I’d like to get my daily challenge and practice out of the way early , then work on songs I want to learn to play later in the day. Basement is dry walled and paneled. Full rugs on floor and a dropped ceiling. I’m not in the recording stage, But, It’s quiet as a mouse down there. I’d still have my room upstairs, I am just afraid I might be damaging my guitars if I started leaving them down in the basement. I want to start working on my own melodies and I think it would work out perfect because I can play whenever I want.

@ukulelebug , this is true. Once you have to slow down to think, it seems harder. Let your hands do the remembering if possible.

I’m on the last session of “write you own song”. I’m totally excited. I feel so much better when I pick up my guitar now. I can do this. Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
