Good work and the practice is obviously seeping in so you must be pleased. It’s great to try something that used to be insanely difficult only to find it being quite manageable 6 months down the line. Onwards and upwards. 🤟😎🎸

I agree with @loraine that best to do the 30 Day Challenge first which will start to build up your skills and give you a focus to your new guitar routine. Remember you do not have to be able to play everything perfectly, just start to get to grips with things and keep moving on. You can come back to things as often as you like but do keep moving forward through that challenge day by day as it will give you a flavour of all the skills to use as you progress through the year. I am at the end of year 1 this week and I am staggered at how far I have come. Still learning but my advice is trust in the process and also if you have problems we (your follow TAC members) have probably all experienced the same thing at some point so feel free to ask questions on the forums. Good luck! Darren [Moonhare] 🤟😎🎸

Just great to hear this. I am still finding my improvs a bit stilted and ‘noob’ sounding so kudos to you for this small win. Consistency pays off eventually and here’s to the next one.

That is awesome. Congratulations on that milestone and great to see the video archive! I’m 350 today and on the verge of my 1st TACiversary so I might take your lead and pull out a few bits from the past too. 🤟😎🎸

That’s one I don’t know. Will have to look it up. It’s something that was worrying me for our motorbike tour of Scotland in August then, get this, my wife found a Washburn Rover travel guitar on Facebook Marketplace for me. I think I’ve won her over.

Brilliant. I think getting a technique like that under your belt is a major boost to your playing. You’re on your way for sure. 🤟😎🎸

Thank you so much. It was great fun playing it at my first Virtual Open Mic.

Really hadn’t ever tried a blues and what have I got to be unhappy about anyway but I can see this coming down the tracks so thought it would be a fun way to practice.

Let’s face it I’m never going to be a serious blues artist but it was fun pulling something together in that style.

I’m not quite there yet but moving in that direction I suspect!

Juts a bit of fun really after a conversation at the end of one of the VOMs about hips, knees and all that. I jokingly said we’re all just spares and repairs then the song came out of it!

Thanks so much. Yes I never intend to be a blues artist – growing up in Eastern England I’m not exactly steeped in the tradition – but it is nice to have a bit of light-hearted fun and try out something you’ve never done before. I’ve dodged the replacements so far but I expect it’s only a matter of time!
