Dirk – what an accomplishment! Thats a big audience and I bet they loved every minute of your performance. I was so impressed watching you perform those songs on the VOM’s and they were solid ! I hope you were able to get some video of your performances for us to see and hear. Congratulations. (PS – I bet your granddaughter was pretty proud as well – I hope she got to see you perform)

well you just learned the most valuable lesson in your guitar journey ! It will come to you. This roadblock and then victory was the G chord and there will be many more to follow. When you get stuck just remember the journey to your new friend “G” and keep going! you will be glad you did. Congratulations !

Not a small win at all ….. a very very big win. The physical response is real for many and for took some time and repetition for me to where I could settle down a bit. (and I still get nervous).
It is so interesting to me as adults our fear of failure in front of our peers often mounts as years pass. I look at small children who seemed to have this unbridled capacity to try almost anything. They sing when they feel like singing. They dance when the music moves them. It is so wonderful to see. So cheers to you for taking the leap. And cheers to the TAC family who are all together in the quest of learning and growing one step at a time !
