That’s a great small win @stevieblues 👏👏👏 Just remember to log-in every day and we’ll see you at 100👍👍

I don’t think I ever heard that tune before @DavidScoggins 🤔, but I really liked your performance👏👏 As @Alisa mentioned, your transitions from flat picking to strumming were very nice and smooth🤩 And I see improvement in your singing, based on the very few times I’ve heard your voice(lol)😎

Hi @Alisa , I think you have multiple small wins going on right now👍👍 All are awesome wins🤩
In the “Old Forums”, people could post and say anything they wanted, guitar related or not – everything and everyone was always positive. Sometimes certain people would poke fun at other certain individuals and visa-verse. It would always be humorous (not mean spirited) and you could see it happen in different threads. It was easy to join in these threads, and be answered, if you had something tangible to say or add. That’s how I got to meet (virtually) a lot wonderful, knowledgeable, and experienced Wizards, Mentors and Guitar Geeks (that’s how members were differentiated) on this site. Oh, and did I say they were always very helpful with guitar or music theory related questions? Unfortunately, a lot of these colorful individuals are no longer heard from in the Forums, I think because there was a lot of unnecessary censorship going on with the initial “unveiling” of this current format. That seems to have subsided for now.
I’ve only touched on one aspect in the comparison of Old and New Forums, I’m sure others will want to give their 2 cents 🤔 Anyways Alisa, congrats on all those wonderful #small wins👏👏👏

That was an awesome rendition @nelsonb12 👏👏👏 I really enjoyed listening to your performance👍👍 “Really Truly” awesome🤩

Very nice @Marty69 👏👏👏 I see that you remembered your chapeau🤣

Hi @campfire , @JohnV has laid everything out for you perfectly👍 so nothing else needs to be said. Well, let me take that back, I can add that the vertical columns created in that matrix are the notes contained in those particular chords. Where the 1st column contains the notes that make up the G Major chord, and the 2nd column contains the notes that make up an A minor chord, and so on. But you will soon find this out yourself!
I’m glad to see that you’re taking on FW and asking questions – I’m really happy for you and think you’ve made an excellent decision💡involving your guitar journey👏👏

That was “Really Truly” nice @Niels 🤩👏👏👏🤩 What a wonderful sound from that Ax👍😱👍 You created a very nice melody and stayed totally within the bounds of the scales presented in the lesson.😎Great call on the substitution also, and thanks for sharing your thought process🤔👍👍

I’m going along with @Loraine and @Niels , both versions are very nice @JoeW 👍👏👏👍 I feel the first had some excellent “spontaneity” but some of the musical sound was not there. The second version lacked the spontaneity, but as Niels put it “the musical ideas…have matured”, in my words – sounded a little more polished.🤩 Really nice work Joe😎

Hi @Bob57 , sorry to hear about your situation😱. Hope you have a quick and successful recovery👍. If I was in your shoes, I would do a couple of things. First, I would stay involved by logging into TAC every day and pay attention to the Daily Challenges to get/keep an understanding of the techniques, theory, scales etc. that are being presented. (I would also stay involved with the Community by reading the comments and checking the Forums for information – assuming you’ll be able to use a keyboard – and sit in on some of the VOMs.) The other thing I would do – depending on which shoulder will be out of action – would be to do some kind of exercise with the guitar using the good limb – perhaps while laying the guitar on your lap you could practice fretting some chords or picking at some strings. Bottom line, stay involved!
Good luck with your surgery and may you have a speedy recovery😎

Good improv Layton ( @Lange22 )👍 “exploring the scales trying to make something that sounds good” is the right place to be. 😎
