Enjoyed listening to your rendition @-Rick- , and amazing fret work with the alternate tuning. At least the Breedlove stayed dry (LOL) – great looking (and sounding) guitar BTW. Looking forward to hearing your version again, maybe without the rain.

After 7 months no joyHi @Rob503 , sorry to hear that you’re not happy with your progress up to this point. I’m in my 4th year with TAC and I’ve read countless posts like yours. The root problem with each and every one of them was THEIR EXPECTATIONS WERE WAY TO HIGH from the start. They all thought that they would be playing like rock stars after a couple months of TAC challenges. Is this where you are now, feeling disappointed because you haven’t been able to achieve the goals you set for yourself? Reality check: rock stars don’t become “stars” in a day! My advise to you is to DIAL BACK YOUR EXPECTATIONS, and make a commitment to your guitar journey. Never compare yourself to someone else and remember, you only get out what you’re willing to put in.
Best of luck to you Rob!

Great cover @KevinZ , I enjoyed watching and listening. I could sense a little Elvis in your voice and it seems to me that you were dead-on with the 3/4 time!

Way to get out your inner John Fogerty @KevinZ , that was awesome! The enthusiasm and energy that you displayed reminded me of watching old CCR performance vids from Ed Sullivan, MTV and other TV shows. And the fact that you had FUN doing it is outstanding. Please keep it up my friend, I truly enjoy watching and listening!

Hi @Dave57 , the Martin that Tony used this week has a spruce top and what looks to be rosewood back and sides. If you go to the Martin website and look for models with that tone wood combination, you should be able to narrow it down. IMHO, He is playing an OM size body guitar – a little smaller than a dread, but you should be able to figure it out. Also, it could be a “Custom Shop” model, so don’t forget to look there as well.

That is a good list to have @Loraine , unfortunately only 4 of the tunings (the first page) are available to see on this post. I use a slide once in a while, the best use for open tunings IMHO. Just some advice for others reading this – remember to always tune DOWN (in pitch) from standard tuning – only in a couple of instances will you have to tune a string up (in pitch).

Nice and mellow @Marty73 , great playing!

SWEET! That was a beautiful rendition @KevinZ , I really truly enjoyed listening. I thought your singing and playing was excellent!

Way to go @TroyTroyB ! That sounded great. You should invest in a metronome, I got a little battery operated one for $27 bucks at my local music shop and it’s helped me a lot with my timing.

Love it @Marty73 !!! (CLAP CLAP CLAP)

Great Choice @TroyTroyB , I have the same make and model too – well worth it for me, hope you find it working well for you.
