Congratulations on your 1st TACAiversary @lloyd – Sounds like you’ve done extremely well considering your handicap. Very inspiring.

Try not to beat yourself up too much @TIm_C . Wood is a living organism, and it should rehydrate. In addition to the in case hydration, make sure you have a good room humidifier and think about getting a hydrometer. Try to keep the room at at least 50% or higher in humidity. Colorado is pretty dry, so this is even more important.

Congrats on you 1st TACiversary @Marisa . It’s been great watching and listening to you this past year.

@Johnnyman Completely agree with @That_Guy that it’s finger strengtH, but in addition you need to build on finger individuality dexterity, which is difficult with the ring finger and pinky, because they share a tendon. Finger strengthening should help somewhat with that. Working the different scales and lessons should help with the finger dexterity.

Great win Rando! I struggle with improv, buT I agree with @Moonhare , if it sounds good, it is good! Keep on plunking!

@Moonhare This one changed the full tempo of the piece. I like the arrangement and feel of it, but I think the first one gave more of a feel of a wren flitting about in the woodpile. Love how you’re experimenting!

Hi Mark Glad you found something on it. I typically wipe down my guitar after every use, and then it gets a thorough cleaning when I change strings.

Welcome to the TAC community @HarryH !
Every person has their own wants and needs when it comes to seating. I purchased a padded stool type chair from Amazon, but my go to chair of choice when playing is my dining room chair.

Wow, very impressive @Moonhare ! Very nicely done, and your flatpicking was great. Cathcy tune, and I could envision the Wren flitting and singing.

Thanks @DaveJ – I actually have some Alaska picks somewhere. I’ll have to find them and give them another shot.
