@susanchinchillo@gmail.com Barre chords are the nemesis of many, but don’t let your frustration keep your from trying! Make sure your barre is close to the fret, and pull the guitar up a little and your elbow in. Once you find the sweet spot, you’ll be amazed that you’ll be able to consistently play the barre chords. Keep on plunking!

I know there are players with missing fingers that have adapted their fretting hand to accommodate for the missing digit. There are a few left handed players but they were already dominant with The lef hand. You could probably rent a left handed guitar to try it out before purchasing one. Talk with your local shop to see if that’s an option.

Hi @denise101smile – I agree with the others. 30 days is only a suggestion. Take as long as you like. I do suggEst that you not aim for perfection. The 30 days to play is to introduce you to the guitar and some basics and building a good practice plan. Don’t be afraid to mark something completed and move on. You can always revisit previous lessons, and you may find that something that you had struggles with may come easier to you when You return to something. Have fun with it!

Welcome to the TAC community David! Glad to hear you’re having fun with the process. The transitions between chords will geT better as you build muscle memory in your hands.

That’s a great win @NW7 ! My guitar teacher requires ,e to play a chord cleanly (including barre chords) 10 times in a row to be successful, but getting a clean barre chord the first tIme is priceless, in my opinion. Keep up the great work!
