Hi @dwgaudetgmail-com and welcome to TAC. The old TAC used to have the previous month’s lesson available through the current month, but with the new system, I guess they can’t or won’t do that anymore. It’s really not a big deal, because all the lessons rotate back around about every 8 months or so. As for the 27th, you can search my favorited lessons for the lesson. I don’t happen to know the specific lesson, but I save them all. No particular order (how the system works). If you know the name I could probably find the Tab too.

@Tapley_Tinsmith Nice win! Many people have an issue with speeding through iI completely agree with @Kitman about playing with a metronome to learn to maintain speed. I use it the majority of the time.

Welcome back @the-old-coach ! I understand the difficulty being away from my guitar. I had to go several months without playing when my tennis elbow and tendinitis flared up in 2021-2022. The calluses will build back In a short amount of time. I wouldn’t worry too much about doing January lessons. Just pickup with todays daily challenge and move forward. The lessons rotate back around about every 8 months.

Hi Noel – Congratulations on completing the 30 days to play. Both @Cadgirl and @Bill_Brown had good suggestions. There really isn’t a right or wrong way to tackle the lessons. It is your journey, and whatever you end up focusing on will be right. I can tell you that I started the daily challenge upon completion of the 30 days. I added the Jumpstart courses shortly afterwards. Then I focused on doing the dailies and Fretboard Wizard, and after that I’ve done the challenge every day and added other skills lessons as I saw fit. But again, you can approach it however you want.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about your skiing accident. I’ve had some bad tumbles in my skiing days, but I only bruised my pride and body. I had tendonitis and tennis elbow in 2021-2022, and I wasn’t able to play the guitar, because doing so could have caused permanent damage. I spent time doing the same things you’re doing, and I spent a lot of time on the forums, and I went to a lot of virtual open mics (VOMs). I practiced air fingering on my fret hand and strumming and finger picking on the guitar with my right hand (the uninsured arm). It may seem like a long time, but your body needs to heal properly.

Hi @gregoran and welcome to TAC! The answer is, it depends – lol. If you have little guitar background and playing skills, then I would focus on the 30 days to play first. Fretboard Wizard has a lot of musical theory and some material thepat you want to really focus on. If you already have some skills and general knowledge, then I would say you could try to take them simultaneously. There’s no rush to get through either, so do what will work for you the best.

Welcome to TAC @powel1018yahoo-com . Occasionally you’ll find a Tab sheet slightly different than a video. There are several reasons why that might occur, but the fact is it happens. I personally go through the videos and practice with Tony, but once the video is over then I’ll generally go to the Tabs to practice. If the Tab is different than the video, l’ll try them both and choose whichever one I like better to continue practicing with.

This really hit home for me with the loss of my mother in 2021, but she was gone long before that because of the dementia. Your emotion is raw, and it really tugs at your heart.

@GerryB56 You own Fretboard Wizard. If you leave TAC, you can still access Fretboard Wizard- just not the daily challenges and skills courses.
