Big Win! I won a guitar!
I guess Tony’s dartboard giveaway guitars are a thing of the past. I always thought I would win sooner or later. Instead, I won a Zager ZAD20 guitar on my 70th birthday. It is a beautiful sweet sounding instrument with solid wood Spruce/Mahogany and Grover Tuners. I have been entering the Zager contest almost every month. This has become my favorite guitar. I’m very grateful to have won. I can’t get my phone to connect to my lap top but here are some stock photos.

No better way to keep the guitar journey moving that a new guitar (no matter how it comes into your hands). Lovely, lovely, lovely. Now I know @Ron-N one of the winners (virtually), and must no longer be suspicious that the folks in Nebraska are just marketing geniuses. Congratulations.

if not, i wonder what would happen if you sold it, then bought several used instruments, guitars and such, then donate them all to a nearby school. hmmm….

I’m a career educator, retired after 45 years of service. I approached teaching as a life style choice often working 60 + hours per week. Providing things like Saturday field trips to the local quarry to look for trilobites, or after school guitar club, Lock-ins, leadership weekends, SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) dances, pizza parties, Outdoor Education, Thanksgiving Feasts, Election Night Parties, extended field trips to 9:00 p.m., was just part of the process. I believe when you are a teacher you don’t punch a time clock.
I feel good about my donations of time and money for the betterment of education for children. Not a chance I’m selling my new guitar to buy instruments for kids. I’m wondering if you weren’t projecting a need maybe you have to step up and volunteer. Go for it!
