October 5th, 2018 was the day I joined TAC, about 6 months into my guitar journey.

And now that my 3rd year at TAC is over, it’s time to say goodbye. It’s been quite the ride. 😉

I would like to thank all the people that I have met along the way. Some for only a brief time, and others who will probably be friends for a lifetime now. The guitar brought us all together. 🙂

It was great getting advice from people further along on their guitar journey, and helping newer people still taking their first steps forward.

I always considered it all to be one big guitar circle. People from all over sharing their thoughts, fears, and successes, as well as talking and sharing experiences about music and guitars.

While I really enjoyed the fun times, what I really liked the most was helping the new people. So I will leave them with this:

Play everyday — sneak in those 10 minutes. A bunch of little steps really turn into big leaps.

Also, a very common question we’d often get was: “What do I do after the 30 days course?” Of course jumping into the “Dailies” can be a good thing, but a lot of people aren’t quite ready, so I created “The TAC Bridge.” It was just a list of courses in the Skills section that I thought made sense to get people ready for the daily lessons.

A final look can be found at the bottom, I hope it will help others in the future 🙂

So you all be well and hopefully I’ll see you around 🙂 I still peek into the TAC Facebook group from time to time. Feel free to message me, or e-mail. ([email protected])

    Byeeee 😉

@Michael-K73 I’m sure I’ll be seeing you around outside of TAC, but I wanted to say that you were very inspirational and helpful to me over the past year and especially at the beginning of my guitar journey. Thank you, and good luck as you continue your own guitar journey and wherever ride it takes you on!

Bye for now @Michael-K73 thanks for all your positive input. I like how the series you put together looks. Stay in the saddle where ever you may be (even if it gets bumpy) and wishing you always fast progress toward your goals. ☮

You will be missed @Michael-K73 😥 As a TAC Mentor, you were the first to help me navigate the (old) site when I first joined in December 2020. Not only did you show me how to navigate, you showed me how to interact with other TACers, that is with kindness, dignity, positivity and a willingness to help others that ask. To me, you exemplified what TAC is all about. Thank you for imparting that spirit to me, and I will do my best to carry the torch💡 Good luck to you my TAC friend, and may you journey well!

That was so nice of you to make a TAC Bridge sheet for newbies. It’s a BIG help. For myself….. If not for the community and all the helpful members. I think i would have been lost. Very sorry to see you go. You have been a big help and inspiration to others.

Sorry to see you go @Michael-K73 ! You were a great contributor to TAC and to its’ members when that was what TAC was all about. Now that the shift has been fully completed I’m sure we’ll be seeing other non-lifetime members falling off. Stay well my guitar geek friend and best of luck as you continue this journey ahead!

I was one of the ones who received your help at the beginning, @Michael-K73 . You pretty much single handedly made the old forum so special. You could still exercise your gift of supporting and encouraging others on this new platform. But paying yearly has diminishing returns for everyone, so I understand. In fact, I saw that at the beginning and decided to pay for my “3 years” up front so I wouldn’t have to reach this point with my TAC membership.

I wish I had gotten the opportunity to have met you in person. I know I would have liked you. But I’m pretty sure you would not have felt the same about me, so it worked out for the best. I certainly don’t want to imply anything about you in the previous statement. Most people find it difficult to like me after getting to know me better.

Anyhow, I know that your guitar journey will go on. I hope that you find all the happiness and fulfillment that you have given to others.

Thanks all for the kind words 🙂 Remember that guitar is fun, so lets keep it that way.

Oh!!! P.S. One last thing. Fretboard Wizard and the chord matrix (triads). So important, but their construction can be a little confusing at first. Below is a marked up version of the matrix page in the Fret Wiz guide. I hope it continues to help some 🙂
