I also want to include this video as an entry to @jumpinjeff ‘s “Funny Guitar Face Challenge”.🤣 I’ve been meaning to do something like this for a while.

That was a great improv Bill_Brown! 👏 🎸😎
Nice guitar face too! 👏😎
-
Thanks @stevieblues for taking the time to watch my video performance. I was just trying feel the the beat of the back track while playing, and you saw the visual results 😱

Great improv @Bill_Brown . Bends, vibrato, guitar face – you have it all! Your guitar came through loud and clear! Thanks for posting and great job! 😀
-
Bill-
Awesome! You are “in the zone” right there- and lovin’ it!
Inspirational.
Thanks for sharing!
-
Nice improv Bill_Brown! You really got into the groove there! Nice quakers on the notes too.

Very nice. I like the up the neck stuff.reminded me a little of Bill Withers “Ain’t no sunshine when you’re gone”
-
Thanks for listening (and watching) @Mrfredsporty , When I did the bend on the 17th fret hiE string, I backed off slightly because I didn’t want to risk breaking the string😱🎸
-
yes I understand. Life with a guitar can be very dangerous.🙃

-
Really good…especially the bends and vibratos. Wish I could get my picking thumb to behave that well.
-
Thank you for watching @bugmeist 👍 I appreciate the kind words. I stopped playing with a pick (for the most part) earlier this year, so when I played single notes, the thumb was naturally taking the lead. I’ve now developed a callus on the side of it from using it so much🤣🎸😎

That’s pretty cool, Gravy Boat, I’ll have to watch for that one, sounds great!!
-
Thanks for pulling up this “blast from the past” video RickyZ🤩👍 I hope when this Wednesday improv challenge comes around again, you’ll be feelin it enough to post a vid also🤘🎸

Sweet! Tasty choice of notes; using the vibrato and bends; bluesy. Well done!
-
Great sound, Bill! Love that you used a metronome. It’s a great assist with timing…
-
Thank you @Marquita . I don’t want to disappoint you, but I didn’t use a metronome, just my foot and the beat of the backing track. If you heard one in the background, it was Tony using a percussive beat 😉
-
You did well regardless of who was keeping time… a gnome or a foot… haha…

Thank you @charlie_d for taking the time to listen (and watch)🙏 For me, the backing track was simple and had a slow and easy (blues) flow, giving enough time for each musical phrase to breath (vibrato & all). 🎸🤘
-
-
Very nicely done! That vibrato is killer! Sounded great, thanks gor posting. ✌🏼
-
Thank you @Marisa for stopping by 😘 and listening. I know that you’re always busy so I do appreciate that you took the time. This was a fun backing track to work with and I do enjoy playing the blues 🎸🤩
