To have that skill and being able to just get in that zone of just you and the music has to be an awesome feeling. Someday…
I first thought there was a typo or misspelled name here, as I’m familiar with the other/original(?) Adrian Belew, but nope, this guy is for real and there are two Belew/Bellue guitarists out there. Wow, nice technique here; reminds me in part of the ever-so-talented Trace Bundy, who I hope you’ll be featuring here if you haven’t already (and I just haven’t gotten there yet…).
I am now a huge fan. The multiple percussive elements he brings with absolute mastery of the instrument left my jaw hanging open. I had to do a double take when he went past the Capo then realized it was a partial Capo.
I watch some of these guys and think I should plant some flowers in my guitars.
Holy crap did I see this man tap harmonics on the 17th & 19th fret AND the sound hole?
I get 17 & 19 they are just 5 & 7 an octive higher. Somehow that is logical to me but the middle of the sound hole?
How does he do that?
Absolutely amazing – brilliant tecnique.
I love that he plays my favorite guitar brand, Furch, in the first two videos, but am I the only one to wonder why he has glued a piece of plywood onto it?
He does not seem to use it for percussion.
Niels,
I think he uses it as a tap plate, but I’m not certain. Haven’t found a vid of him using it yet.
Cheers,
Tony
I’ll keep a lookout – am going to look for more of his stuff
Loved Adrian’s unique finger style with percussive elements. Beautiful!! Great player!!
AWESOME, great, wonderfull!!!
(Best Artist so far..)
Isn’t playing guitar hard enough without a harp grafted onto it? Actually I was surprised how much I liked it.
The harp seems like it is probably tuned to the Key he is playing. Its almost like a forward roll into the guitar.
Great stuff!
WOW! I think I have found my new guitar hero!
Loved it, especially his G clef tattoo!
So amazing!
Amazing!!!
By far my fave of the artists in the course so far. Thanks for the introduction Tony. I’ll be on the hunt for some new vinyl asap!
OMG! I didn’t know you could make an acoustic guitar sound like that! Or any guitar for that matter! I’m going to have to buy his music!
Adrian that’s ridiculous! I watch and don’t even understand what I’m seeing! Awesome!
Always loved Davids style.
Used to do a tune of his years ago,”Suffer to sing the Blues”
He becomes the guitar, fantastic
Very cool playing. At first I thought this was a misspelling of Adrian Belew from King Crimson, This reminds me a lot of Preston Reed.

That is a true guitar wizard!
Most amazing. This makes me speechless.
oh my god! he is amazing, and great to listen to. Thanks Tony!
I love this one! Adrian is where I want to be with guitar. He jams! .
Thanks Tony!
I have never seen a harp guitar before. What an amazing talent!
WOW!
Whole lot of talent in those looooong fingers. In my next incarnation I’m gonna start a lot earlier!!
I cant play my guitar after watching this guy. Holy cow! Amazing!
