I think the new guitar sounded full. I like its sound. And good benchmark performance.
-
Good benchmark. One of the interesting things about us all doing a benchmark song from the same source is that I can see what you are doing and think, “Well @Philb has that piece down very well. I need to work on that more.” Great encouragement.

Great push forward to play an open mic. I’ve done a couple and always get a rush after the anxiety of the start. Keep at it and I know you’ll have fun.

Great start and congratulations. I find it helpful to have established the quarterly goals too in addition to the daily challenges. You can have an outcome based goal which is, for me, often a song I want to place in my back pocket or a technique based goal involving a flatpicking or fingerpicking or rhythm/percussion improvement. It doesn’t take long to pick one and it provides some direction and opportunity to celebrate a longer term win.

You know, I know all this stuff having been here a while. Nit I hadn’t actually looked at it in some time (if ever) since the program has progressed through multiple iterations. It seems complete. Thanks for sharing with the new folks and bringing its availability to the attention of the rest of us.

Now that is a fun piece of creativity. Thanks for sharing this first ( and good even if not the first) original.
-
Which songs? Not sure to what “these” refers.
-
Jump right in. And do your 10 minutes faithfully and it will happen. It has for me.

Welcome to the Daily Challenge and a lot of fun with a benchmark song week.

He mentions Texas in this song, but Blue Yodel No. 1 (better known in Austin as “T for Texas”) was another great classic of his. As you can tell I appreciate your performance. Thanks.

Whoopee and congratulations. I see you have over 285 playing sessions during that year so you are serious about your journey. It has been nice to see your posts this year and have you walk along the journey with the rest of us geeks. May you continue to beat that barre chord back into submission and add more theory and fun as you pass this milestone. Celebrate this win.

Wow @Loraine…. There you go talkin’ Theory to Decent Folk! I love it. And such a good job. But @BarabaraM don’t be intimidated. The fog will clear and it will be so much easier to play and recall knowing the structure instead of trying to memorize it. Theory and Fretboard Wizard have made playing so much easier and transportable.

Or confidence too (I guess you could have a conference, but that’s a stretch).
