Showing off your 6 years of TAC. Thanks for the Merry Christmas musical greeting.

Great observation and comments. You are right on target with how much fun you can build into with TAC. My goal has been to be able to play with others and for others like a piano lounge player. I don’t need to be a concert performer. I just want to play and have fun. And hearing a song, I like to pick up the key and the progression and try to jump in. TAC can build you into those skills. Congratulations.

What a great journey and inspiration to me! Your next year goals are encouraging me to do the same. I’m behind you at almost 1700 sessions and my TACaversary isn’t until March but I am with you regarding Fretboard Wizard and Lifetime memberships. New people to TAC should seriously take the leap. In the long run they both improve the experience. Great musical joy to you this New Year.

And it will build on itself. Just let it grow. Great win.

I’d wait a few more months but until then it is great song to sing and original and fun. (My wife wants a potting table for Christmas.)

Well after improvising behind and and over you I marked this as one my first favorite. I want to lea4n this from watching your arrangement of it. Nice to see you again in the forums. Maybe winter did us a favor!

Great use of your skills. I am currently participating in a program called Academy 4 which is introducing 4th graders in lower performing elementary schools to musical instruments with the Ukulele. I have two classes on 8 students and although it can be like herding cats, they are starting to get the hang of it. Thanks for being a good TAC ambassador.

Wow. Good for you. I still have not completely mastered Mississippi Timing and we recently had a similar challenge. That “push the button” hammer-on coinciding with the thumb down beat is a muscle memory I have had a hard time developing.

My Martin Backpacker has been all over North America with me. Take it. You’ll make friends wherever you go.

There are no rules. I haven’t thought about it until you asked but I do the second (most of the time).

Congratulations. That is a great win. Playing with others is such a fulfilling experience. At Fretboard Summit in Chicago this year they created a small “mass orchestra” with sections playing multiple parts based on that which you felt comfortable. It can be a hoot and sound amazing with all those strings and guitar bodies resonating off each other. Well done @Sigi

Solo or no, I would advise against skipping lessons because it’s just 10 minutes but over time you will find you become better all around. Your goal sounds similar to mine which is to enjoy community through music with others at church or a campfire or family gathering. There are a diversity of materials presented in challenges and the exposure to them accumulates. You don’t need to master the style that is presented. Just give it your 10 minutes and trust the process. (And have fun.)

You are on your way! But don’t stop for the night.

Dang @Moose408 I am impressed. I’ve never really thought through the process even close to this level of detail. Props to you and thanks for sharing a whole new perspective with us.
