My sister, @Sis_di, is going through the same 30 Days and finds herself stuck too. Well… perhaps try a classical stance with your foot on a box or raised so the body can be lower. It is actually more comfortable and ergonomically correct. That’s only a part of the concern. Mostly I’d say relaxed and have fun with it. Don’t feel like you have to master a lesson. Just move on and stay consistent with the 10 minutes. You can always come back but the lessons build skills and are not stacked so that you can’t learn later lessons because you haven’t mastered the former. I have a lesson for a Mississippi John Hurt style technique I’ve been coming back to for two years off and on and still don’t feel good about it. Any percussive type lesson I struggle with. Find a two chord song you like and play that. The 12 chord blues is only 3 chords. Most songs are! Trust the process (10 minutes) and enjoy the journey. The result is a serendipity.

Not specific named artist, but I’ve considered such a 2022 goal to include current, living, actively recording or writing artists. I’ve considered Jason Mraz, Phillip Phillips, Jack Johnson. These aren’t my traditional fare, but I’ve realized most of my covers are not alive anymore.

There use to be a one time fee for these but I have found them to be a great tool and still go back and add one to my practice routine to build my skills.

I remember it like this: With no capo on you are at the root for the chord shape. So if you are in an e chord shape, there is no capo for e. If you move up a half with the capo you would be at an f with the e chord shape. If you move up a whole step from there with the capo you would be at a g with the e chord shape. Another whole step with the capo an a…another whole step a b… another half step a c (half steps are between b and c and e and f, all others are whole steps). I hope that helps.
I would memorize the major scale sequence (W,W,h,W,W,W,h) I remember it as major is 2 and 3 shared (meaning 2 whole steps and a break and 3 whole steps and a break). I remember Minor scale sequence (W,h,W,W,h,W,W) as minor is 1 and 2 and 2. It is a lot but it opens a new door.

Well if you aren’t a master, you are at least a chord journeyman. You can play so many song with those chords. Keep having fun and congrats.

And when you work with it long enough to figure it out…it sticks. Good job.

If you perform it again, you might consider just the raw simplicity of your natural voice is good and fits the song style without resonance. The finger picks are great experimentation. Wish I could do as well.

Great to look back and realize that the progress was not only present but fun to achieve. Keep seeing and loving that new guitar.
