I was reading your post and was ready to eject at “Barry Gibbs” and “Bee Gees” but my eyeball momentum carried me forward to “Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings” so I had to listen. And turned out to be a very nice song. Thanks @Michelle-PSL nudging me outside my normal musical boundaries.

About 5 years ago, I went on a Fred Eaglesmith bender after seeing Mary Gauthier cover his song Cigarette Machine. Thanks for the performance @Guy_H and for reminding me about Fred.

Great performance @Carol-3M-Stillhand . I am a huge Fahey fan and really admire that you can play this song “live”.
Last Steam Engine Train is #3 on my Fahey “to do” list.

Great song @Michelle_in_PSL . I will have to make sure I attend the VOM to hear the full song. The first versions I remember hearing were from The Shirelles and slightly later from Dusty Springfield. Will have to listen to the Amy Winehouse version.

I was grooving along to the picking and the singing, then you brought it to the next level with the harmonica. Not enough Norman Blake covers showing up, so thanks @Joe M in Kansas City, Mo for posting this one.

I enjoyed that @Michelle_in_PSL.

Great song @Michelle_in_PSL . Huzzah got tenaciousness.
I used the same tuning to play “Jim Jones at Botany Bay” from the movie Hateful Eight.

Lovely song @Michelle_in_PSL . I first heard the Cat Stevens version when I was much younger but in later years heard it played in Church. I thought that things were really getting liberal when Cat Stevens is played in Mass, did some research, and discovered it was originally a hymn first published in 1931. So I completely agree, oh the things we learn from music.

Wow @Christopher_H , that was an awesome cover. You captured the essence of the Stones version with a single guitar and voice.
And thanks @Philb for bumping the post. I did in fact miss it with the heavy forum change traffic.

Already looked up the Gillian Welch version in Apple Music. Part of a whole album of Bee Bees song done with country stars. Jive Talking with Miranda Lambert, How Deep Is Your Love with Tommy Emmanuel, How Can You Mend A Broken Heart with Sheryl Crow! I really enjoy unusual mixes like this. Album is called Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers Songbook Volume 1.
