In the skills courses Tony does one called Guitar Stretches. Worth taking a look at that to relieve tension in your arms.

Great idea if you are always going to the same place. There are some amazing travel guitars around too although again it depends on your budget. These guys are not cheap but specifically target people who jet about but want a full size guitar, not a vut down version.

As an aside I have my first day away from my guitar tomorrow but luckily I know my friend Kelly has a Martin at her place so TAC’s a good excuse for me to ask if I can play it so I don’t miss my practice!

This is a style of playing I really enjoy listening to and am trying to learn myself. A very inspirational post and I guess I can’t add a lot to what everyone else has already said. Just the perfect mellow start to the weekend. Thankyou. 🤟😎🎸 Darren (Moonhare)

Had to check this out and wow! That was beautifully played. The fluidity of moving from different techniques such as string bends, hammer ons and mini chord strums was really evident. You also have a natural musician’s feel for swing and synchopation which is difficult to teach but stands out in this performance. Just very impressive. Onwards and upwards @cam_pollock ! 🤟😎🎸 Darren

That’s a great leap forward @cam_pollock . It is nerve wracking to put yourself out there as a novice guitarist but I really believe it will help in the long term to track progress. Don’t know about you but I’m pushing my limited skills well beyond my comfort zone so the performances I post can be a bit dodgy in places but in a year I will look back and say “I can do that now”. Keep on posting! 🤟😎🎸 Darren (Moonhare)

Well you are way beyond me there but congrats. I just love those moments in your life when you suddenly realize you have the answer and you surprise yourself. Sounds like one of those. They haven’t released the next Fretboard Wizard date yet and I wasn’t keen on paying for it when I enrolled in case I didn’t get on with TAC, but will definitively do that when it comes back on stream.

It’s making that first step that counts. I am also 55, been here 7 months and can honestly say I am just loving it. Get stuck into 30 Day Challenge then post an update to us so we can hear how you’re doing. Good luck!

I’m not here to repeat the brilliant, thoughtful and insightful comments of everyone above. Just wanted to say what a great question and how much I enjoyed reading everyone’s responses. PS you are unlikely to hear me singing any time soon unless it’s with someone else in the lead. I have a perfect bassy backing vocalist voice eg. in tune but utterly featureless.

Haha – I’ll have to run a course on it – might be able to afford a Martin then!

I am learning so much from this thread. Thanks for posting @johnny67 . Just out of interest what are the holes for?

I’ll echo that @Guy_H . I put a question on the Customer Service chat yesterday asking about how to enrol on the fretboard wizard course and had a reply in less than 2 hours. BUT it isn’t really that obvious how to find this when you first start on TAC so I can see where the confusion may arise.
