MemberJuly 9, 2021 at 2:08 pm in reply to: Looking for Tabs for Tony’s song (he wrote it so shouldn’t be proprietary)Flatpicking songs from the Song Vault are listed here: https://app.searchie.io/hub/254V7grV3m/page/2oQPK
Kicking Rocks is listed in the Medium difficulty section. Next to the name, you will see an arrow icon that takes ypu to the main page for the song:
https://app.searchie.io/hub/254V7grV3m/playlist/4lb8gRjoEj
On that page, you’ll hopefully see soething that allows you to select “attachments.” There you will find a link to the tab.
I went through that explanation so you could use the process to locate tabs for other songs. The tab page for Kicking Rocks is at https://cdn2.searchie.io/403098/bdefb23a56103ee543bef0266f2ba5ec.pdf?response-content-disposition=attachment%3Bfilename%3DKicking%20Rocks%20Tab.pdf&Expires=1625947305&Signature=Z0zbiEbMAJRX5eI3CC3Fm4BKDDc78R9RWQ69qPBGVsV0wSKSFSz25ZT5bAu0eldA6xEiE~ofjCCwY7ZDckxKO0k1anBM8xDFaIVi1NutipTFtuj~yL3yuGMW41XmVHIQ9M4x3ZJZ7WmP6WPpkHXnPZ~bOYH8TbJUShnSlo1DI3mgptUrYY2kXYUkhO07vz1Qc9Bds1zPNdAAdUZvMJYtkj2vENv~DMPmvAJXnm2C6HcfwXctFb26P9u0y7X0jKsuDo3fmz05rl-r2f4PZrQscOSO5nVAmMCZZVjEDoIXiMHWVK~CPss~Qaif4zu2OgtxVJPnKz0pJLTgkWPci5iFytDf1aoD9XvGvh65tyK2DQQ~TmdYuXTCWqn8t5jJ9zSjUaSfIzH-q34dYQEKVoDpWCFcruDVx6t9pdH3B-xhaZjcNpi-eH7~Dn-PP-2~27NOw~2AIj-dY7h2MXTRGEHXq8u77DCMoVN8HjAjzsXfJ9hK380eC768y4vD3FWHGrbc6Y34sn2qM3repK80J3~xxFcujnpn3FJrgQzs6uon6WZBt4U6qgVDyxm~TbXsWg1pCbc-fSwkBileQdwxBgUp45aYVZu-lGnh~2enQuj8djQYNaxXGMeoQuq5rHHzA6AoB03kdnSPYwIO61UuZFPUs2Duzyx6CDJtmGttU98dtbM_&Key-Pair-Id=APKAIXPXPGXPFVWOPJTQ

I was looking for the same, but I’m thinking that replays are another casualty of the new, “improved” TAC. I hope I’m wrong, but this would not be as big adeal as some of the other losses for me personally.

Congrats! It’s a great feeling each time and it demonstrates commitment.

And great of you to tip the musician. I do that pretty regularly. A few weeks ago, I saw Tom Kozic (my original guitar teacher – awesome player) and Brian Bortz (fine bass player) play at the Twisted Olive (you and I connect on a “twisted plane,” perhaps?). When I tipped them toward the end of their set, it sparked a few other people to come up and tip. One guy had requested a song (and they of course obliged) and I honestly don’t think he would even have tipped them until I “greased the skids.”

The “lapsed guitar player” description you gave invites me to wonder how much experience you had and how long the lapse has been. It’s probably worth a try at the dailies. Certainly don’t hesitate to jump in there and give it a try, especially if 30DtP doesn’t thrill you.
30DtP did not even exist when I joined just over 4 yrs. ago. Even if t had, I don’t think it is the type of thing that would have got me hooked personally. Of course, we’re all different and we display different needs and preferences. I had not had any lapses since I started playing (4-1/2 yr. before I joined TAC), although it had been 2-1/2 yr. since I’d had any lessons.
The best order in which to do things depends on the individual. Try everything that’s available – 30DtP, dailies and Technical Skills courses – and dig in wherever you think you’re getting the best value. The most important things are to keep it fun and keep playing as often as you can.
Now I should go back and read what others said, as I started writing befor reading the responses you already had.

Let’s see if this allows you to pull up the full lessons:

Sorry I put these in reverse order. I saved them as favorites. Hopefully these links get you to a happy place.

Wow – fast fingers! So relaxed – almost nonchalant. Ant the accuracy and expression are out of this world. I love everything about it. Keep posting these treasures, Joe.

“I’m just getting back into it. I was without my guitar for 5 days while down in Norfolk, VA, helping my son move.“
Thanks for the follow-up, @Greg_F_Lee . That must have been real torture being sans guitar for a week, but it must have felt great helping your son. I find it very g watching my kids moving through the stages of life. Both my kids are now parents themselves, and they seem mighty good at it – better than I was in my estimation.
I hope you experience the same joy I got from Fretboard Wizard. I have studied music my whole life, since long before I got a guitar, and I have to admit that I learned a lot from FW. But is really striking is the amount I have learned in the last 3-1/2 years since taking FW the first time. I also have a much better appreciation of how much more there is to know. I hope I have a lot more time to grow both my technical skills and my musical knowledge. But regardless how far I get, the main focus is to have as much fun along the way as possible!

I’m glad you checked in with us, @VictoriaTACTeam . But is it really such a hard thing to grant us access to the prior month’s lessons? Is there no interest at all in solving problems and shortcomings with this new site? Anyone who has a commitment at the end of the month potentially will miss a chance at completing the lessons. Many people take a lot of pride in completing every lesson and believe that’s the way they get the most benefit from the program, but then they go away at the end of the month and bam! – it all gets disrupted. I’m disappointed that this has not been fixed yet.
