“Know anything” is pretty general @Big_Red45. From “it’s a wooden box with 6 strings on up”. Mostly I know it’s a discontinued (30 years ago – thus the issue with getting information) Dread model from Takamine (generally a pretty reliable, decent sounding acoustic) with a solid Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides with “abalone” inlays in the fingerboard per Takamine. Also found a site that says it’s a Mahogany neck, Rosewood fingerboard, non cutaway, no electronics model made between 1979 and 1989. Apparently Dylan used one on his European tour in the early 1980s.
Here’s a whole thread of info (relevant and otherwise): https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=329915

MemberMay 11, 2021 at 5:44 am in reply to: Day 100 of The 100 Day Project – Yippee! I’m Done! This truly was a marathon @Michelle-PSL! No, a QUADRUPLE marathon. Holy cow I think we’re all just so proud of you and impressed with our fellow guitar geek. Way to go! Admittedly I’ve not seen them all (my frustrations with the new site have kept me off the site to the point of avoiding TAC completely some days) but the dedication and improvement have been obvious. So happy for you and your huge win!

For what it’s worth I started with FBW and only after that joined TAC. So no, I don’t think there’s a particular order. Rather that one will help with the other in a complimentary but not compulsory way.

I get AT links via email weekly. If not then you can always search YouTube where the videos get posted.

Alright! Nice performance and congrats on your entering your “Major Tom” days. Beginning countdown engines on…10…9…8 😀

Very nice @Michelle-PSL! Hard to believe you’re headed into the final stretch of this project but then again, the improvements in playing, singing and confidence is evident. Sound was OK but you may have actually seen better results recording yourself over Zoom than with just the webcam. Away from home just isn’t a good excuse as you clearly have a guitar at hand and it looks like it’s SOMEBODY’s home. 😉

Lots of things auto renew and honestly 60 days should be plenty of time to notice and resolve it on your credit card. Actually, it’s longer than many others give to do that. Respectfully, this is an issue with someone other than Tony.
Maybe give the site a shot again since you’re already locked in for the next few months and be sure that auto renewal doesn’t happen next time round if you’re still not liking it.

Saddened doesn’t even begin to cover it for me @dr_dave. The “Quarterly Progress Parties” are OK but that’s all…OK. I used to look forward to the monthlies. Then again I used to look forward to lots of the things TAC offered prior to a few months ago. As mentioned in prior posts the site and TAC’s focus has changed. It seems there’s a fair amount of us who recognize that it’s not been a change for the better. I would suggest someone in admin really get involved in this forum and the discussions as it’s taking far too long for responses and for fixes. Of course that may simply be a reflection of that new focus I mentioned.

That’s the way I learned it back in the day @Barry2021 but here we’re talking about intonation rather than straight up tuning. As mentioned, a change in string diameter can have an effect. The reality is that if a guitar is set up for certain string gauge then a change to a different one can throw everything off. Solution is a setup but that does not need to be done at every string change, just the ones where you change gauge @Alisa.

Hahaha…think you mean Bon Jovi @Marty69.
Great job on this one. I just learned it myself and I think it sounds great at this speed.

Get in or stay in @Ed_G? Seems like since the site change the slowness and constantly being logged out is the way this new site works. That’s why my own visits and posts have fallen off precipitously. If I wasn’t a lifetime member I’d have already left.

100% correct! Although sad I didn’t win at least it’s going to a happy guitar home and will no doubt get lots of use. Congrats to ALL the winners!

At least you tried. Pobody’s nefect!
