so good ! that’s a tough song. you did a great a job. I think that slower bpm makes it even more powerful. i have started playing it but i must admit cheat a lot because it was so hard for me to play it correctly😆 it also doesn’t help that i play G i the lazy way so i have to do some gymnastics to get some of those hammers and transitions. well done!

@N-lightMike thanks Mike. You are correct about learning those chord shapes. I dont even know what the names are (although with FBW i can probably figure it out.) I was a little familiar with the pattern from a TAC daily challenge that moved the A7 up the neck with some variation so watching his video performance I could tell what he was doing.
Regarding covers and song writing you are correct. I took an online class from Ryan Tedder who is a famous grammy award producer. There is a technique in writing where if you have a sense for the style of song you are writing you can then find existing songs that share the same style. Then alter the chord shapes, rhythms, melodies etc to spark something new. It is just another tool to spark creativity. I think it does help to learn covers to expose yourself to other strumming patterns or melodies that one might not otherwise master.

well Mike you are just too kind. Thank you for such supportive comments. i never know when i write a song how it lands with people so i really appreciate all the feedback from you and the TAC community. This 90 day progress party was really timely. i was having that “poser” demon creeping into my head and the progress party and all the stories along with some recent Youtuber’s taking about the poser syndrome have really lifted me up. This is really helping me to keep moving forward and do what i love – playing and writing music. thanks again for all your support.

@Christopher_H so glad you enjoyed the song and that it sparked some good memories. It is sounding even better I think now that I have a real recording which is slowed down, mic’d properly and has two guitar tracks in different registers.
