Hi @WillyB Welcome to the TAC community. I had never played guitar before joining, and I’ve come so far in a short amount of time (in guitar playing years). I completely understand wanting more and to play songs. That is a natural progression when learning and playing the guitar.
TAC teaches study habits and foundational skills, as you’ll understand after completing the 5-day Routine Challenge. TAC does not focus on teaching songs. You can apply the skills you obtain at TAC when learning and playing songs. It is understood that you would need to visit outside sites or take personal lessons to find inspiration and lessons for songs. I think you can balance the 2 and do quite well. @HeyJude The more you practice the barre chords, the more you’ll build up finger strength and they’ll get easier. May still be a little daunting, but once you find the sweet spot, you’ll actually like them.

I really appreciate the additional information @stevieblues . Now these are huge wins in my book. I couldn’t agree with you more as to what I like about TAC too. And, I agree with Tony’s philosophy of show up and give it your best effort for a minimum of 10 minutes, mark it complete and move on. I can always work something longer than that if I want to. Keep up the great work!
