Hi @stevieblues – I liked Tony’s example of physically rolling the wrist and letting the fingers ‘rake’ across the strings. You could also slow it way down and play each string separately, and then start increasing the speed in small increments until you’re fast enough that you’re actually raking the strings.

@Himleyn Several of the Skills courses are newer, so it’s a possibility that others might be added at some point. However, I haven’t heard anything about whether there are plans in the works. You could write Support and ask.

Definitely a good win @Duane58 – Pull offs can be challenging, but it’s a great playing tool and comes in handy.

Hey @Skyman I can completely understand the difficulty using a metronome, but I think it’s a necessity. I use it in the learning and the practice phase, albeit not well all the time. I use Pro Metronome, which I’ve found to work best for me. It has a lot of options, and the learning curve wasn’t too painful.

Happy 2nd TACiversary @xiao-bai ! It sounds as if you’ve come far in a short amount of time. I would love to hear something from your band. Here’s to another inspiring year!

Hey @duane58, I’ll give tons of #smallwins when it comes to practice and accountability and effort! As a note, you don’t need fingernails to play the fingerpicking lessons. You can just use the tips or pads of your fingers to pick. If you can get used to finger picks, I’ll give you bonus points. I’ve never been able to master them. Great job on your wins!

Hi Reggie, and welcome to the TAC community! Since you’re brand new to guitar, my suggestion would be the Quick Start guide and then the 30 days to play (left side menu). The daily challenges can wait. There’s no hurry to get to them just yet.

@Kitsman Welcome to the TAC community! There’s no rule against doing both the 30 days to play and the daily challenges, but don’t worry about the daily challenges backing up or piling up while you work through the 30 days to play. The daily challenges have a weekly focus, meaning all lessons for a week build off the Monday lesson. Also, the weekly lessons repeat about every 8 months, and it’s okay to start the daily challenges any time. If you don’t have much experience with guitar, my suggestion would be to focus on just the 30 days to play. The dailies are available through a month, but they are not accessible when the new month starts on the 1st Monday of each month. But again, they will roll around in a few months.

It as a good week wasn’t it @Owen_D . I struggle with pull offs to, bu they do tend to get better with practice. Keep up the great work!

@Tom000-18 Im not sure when they’ll make the announcement, but you could always write support and ask them when I might become available,

Appreciate the reply @johnny67 , and I’m sure I’ll have many slips and mention other sites by complete mistake – on occasion 😎

There might be a few nuggets in there @Ukulelebug , but they were purely accidental – lol. Agree that @charlie_d had some great bits to try out next go around.
