Have to agree w/ @Bill_Brown that the goal is not mastery, but it is about building a consistent practice routine of a minimum 10 minutes per day. You can spend as much time on a lesson as you want, but if you spend too much time trying to master something you’ll become bored (as you did) and not want to continue (as you did), and it won’t be about having fun and wanting to play (as happened to you). So, my suggestion is work on each lesson for at least 10 minutes (more if you want and are having fun), then mark it complete and move on. You can always return to a lesson later. I went back through the previous lessons when I was completing the 30 days to play.
You can also take the daily challenge and skills courses whenever you want to, but if you’re a true beginner with little or no prior playing experience, my suggestion would be to just focus on the 30 days to play for now.

Congratulations on meeting your goal and in such a big way! That’s awesome that you played in front of others. I have a difficult time just doing videos because of my nerves. To be able to perform in front of others just blows my mind. Good for you!

Hi Derek – Trhe Jam greoups went away with the new site, but you can search for other local members by clicking on down arrow by your name and the Members link. You can also check out one of the many virtual open mics that are now found at https://justmusicgeeks.com/index.php.

Huge win @OhWowMan ! Just think in another few months how many more chords you’ll know – It’s exponential.

Great job @Jonathandavid . That was a tough backing track to play with, because it was so fast, but your fingers are just as fast. 🙂
