Short and multiple practices throughout a day work best for me.

Hey @PapaMinou I so feel ya on this. I struggle with strumming in general, because my chord transitions are slow or I try and rush and the chords aren’t clear. I will say however that they have gotten better. I slowed it way down and used a metronome. As I was able to transition with the metronome and strum pattern I went up 5 bpm on the metronome and did the same thing over. And over until I was transitioning on the beat, had clear chords, and had the strum pattern down. Then I would bump it up another 5 bpm and start all over. I’ve gotten better, but I still have to keep really working on it daily in my practice.
It’s okay to move on from the lesson (sometimes a break is necessary) and try something new. You can always go back to the strumming lesson later.
Hang in there and keep plunking away!

Wow, that was really good Dan!! I don’t do anything in life that fast, but it didn’t matter, you nailed it.

Very happy for all the winners!!

I’m not familiar with other alternate picking styles. It seems to be universal in my experience. It is the most efficient way to pick and increases speed, and it smooths the sound. You can get so fast it sounds like strumming.

@ZADavid Have you checked out the Skills library yet? Lot’s of other courses besides the daily challenge.

Fantastic win – love when it falls into place!!

Great win @jdtiger . I’m working at fluidity and having scales smooth rather than choppy too. Not an easy feat (especially for smaller hands).

Congrats @Daniel_Morin !! Make sure they know you’re left handed – I suggest you send a personal message to the TAC team.

@ZADavid I feel ya on the downfalls of the new site. It is way too slow and getting signed out constantly is a hassle. I also agree that I haven’t seen a vast improvement on the speed, and it sounds like that’s a huge challenge to TAC and the IT folks. The old site was more user friendly with regard to both speed, staying signed on, following conversations in the forums, and other features that are missed. I think it is easier to get to the daily lesson and skills lessons, but that’s about the extent of my happiness with it. Obviously TAC has put a lot of time and money into this new direction and site, so we’ll either have to be resigned to work with it or move on. I’m a life member, so it’s a bit different. Good luck in your decision, and happy plucking!

I think I remember this too
