I also struggled with the chord change identification. I find it particularly hard when there are other instruments with competing prominence. I have been through FW 3 times now and even though that particular section hasn’t really gotten any easier, I do find my ear has gotten better overall.

Are you marking the daily lessons as “Favorite” in the new site? That will allow you to build your own library and go to any lesson you want for more practice.

Impressive. That is a great way to keep organized. You have a nice collection of songs. The only thing I would maybe do is add a “tuning” column if any of them are in alternate tunings.

That is an impressive routine. Somedays I get in more than one session but that is the exception as opposed to the rule. I am like you though in that my session starts with the daily challenge and then I have a list of songs I am working through to learn. It gives me focus as well.

We are very lucky that we have a music store near us – Russo Music – only 2 locations, local, great staff and reasonably decent selection of instruments. Music Villa is a great store too – not local but my store of choice. Most of my guitars have either come from MV or Russo. You are so right Alfred – the advantage of having a favored store is that they do get to know you and you can trust them to pick out the right stuff for you.

Hey @LukeCipers – I can’t help you with the time constraints but as for motivation, I can tell you that FW is a great jumping off point for learning a bit about theory. The knowledge you get out of the course will help you in so many ways. It really is a great course.
