Yeah, I have yet to “master” a daily. I put in the 10 minutes and mark it complete and usually practice a little longer if needed, but I never shoot for perfection. To be it’s more about learning foundational skills that build upon each other as a week progresses. You’ll be surprised when the lessons cycle back around and you’re able to do something that baffled you initially.

@cadgirl, I’m not sure why you wouldn’t have a channel if you’ve already uploaded videos. That is what begins the creation of a personal channel. I think even saving or favoriting videos creates a channel. Go to your account (click on your icon at the top of page) and it will show whether you have a channel.

Thank you so much for your kind words @Cadgirl and @Bill_Brown . This is one of favorite songs by the Goo Goo Dolls. And the timing when I play with the recording is a little off. Should be slightly faster. I thought I had the strumming worked out, but I was so tense in the shoulder and arm/wrist area, and it really affected my strumming. Oh well, can only get better (I hope). And Bill, I’m a great believer in fake it till you make it when it comes to nerves. I’d make a great actress in that regards.

Welcome to the TAC community @HeyJude ! Typically you just click on the video in the post and it will start playing. To go to the video in YouTube, you would click on the title in the video posted on TAC. Occasionally there will just be an address listed in the post, and you’ll have to copy and paste it in a windows address line and hit enter. It will then take you to the video.

@69Brian OUCH! So happy it was only a dislocation, but that’s pretty serious too. Even though it only required resetting,, your joint experienced a major shock. You’ll want to take it slow reintegrating use of that finger to avoid damaging it further. It can lead to arthritis and slow healing. There’s plenty you can do in place of fretting for a while. You can mute strings and practice strumming, picking patterns with your right hands, study some theory, identify keys of songs and their chords, etc,
Good luck with the finger, and I’m so glad things turned out to be minor.

Hi @PeterBeGood and welcome to TAC. I believe they stand for quarter note (Q), eighth note (E) and whole note (W)

I think it’s really cool that you have the skill set to identify song chords by ear. Great wins @Brian2501

@albert_d Congratulations on your 3rd TACiversary! I love reading the stories, and you have come so far in a short amount of time. Your performance was excellent. Great fingerpicking and vocals.

@KevinZ One of your best performances. Great emotion, range of vocals, the key was great for your voice, and your picking was really good, as always.
