Really love this song @KevinZ , and you had a nice mix of improv with the song. Great job!! I would love to be around a campfire with you playing. That would be so fun!

Truly appreciate your condolences Scott, and I’m working on the music therapy.

Thank you very much @stevieblues , and I’m looking forward to getting back in the groove, although it’s been a slow start this week. I’m having difficulty focusing, but I’m not giving up. I figure that with even short practice times, I’ll still get ahead and it’s a start at least.

@AttyTJ your positivity is infectious! Thank you for the support, and I’ll take you at your word (because I doubt myself).

@Ronlad Thank you for your condolences and mine to you in your loss also. Thank you for reminding me how important music has always been to me. I grew up in the Burbs of Chitown and I remember WLS 780 a.m. fondly too. Chicago has some of the best music. I love Boston and saw them several times during the 70’s and 80’s. Music definitely speaks to my soul like nothing else can do, and it can lift me on a gloomy or sad day. I’ve gotten away from listening to as much music as I used to; mainly because I don’t drive as much since COVID. I just saw Jimmy Buffet last week and it totally lifted me up during a dark time and allowed me a moment of bliss. Now, if only my playing sounded as good as some of the musicians I love I’d be in heaven.

Anyway, thank you for a great post. It made my day! 🌞

Really appreciate it @Cadgirl , and my hope is that music will do just that.

Very kind @SoCal_Ian . I’ve been through many losses over the years, but this was the most difficult. Looking forward to trying to get back into playing as an outlet.

Thank you @Marisa . Maybe my mom’s spirit will help me get back in the groove (although she didn’t have any musical capabilities vocally or playing an instrument). Maybe she’ll cheer me on.
