Rob, playing guitar is insidious. One keeps plugging away and all of a sudden you notice you can do things you couldn’t do before! I guarantee this will happen to you. As for me, when I am struggling, sometimes I can take pleasure in a sound here or there coming out of my guitar. A single note can be music.

@Gjohns8610, you may want to take your guitar to your local guitar shop that has a good luthier department – your guitar may need a setup. Also, you may need lighter gauge strings. Also, old strings can sometimes give some issues. Good luck!!

@Loraine At this point I know 3 chords (G,C,D) and can play 2 songs (not well but it is still fun!)!
