You’re off to a great start with the Quick Start Guide. My suggestion is to keep moving forward and do the 30 days to play. You’ll learn quite a bit during the course, and you’ll have a lot of fun playing things immediately.

Thanks for sharing your updated How I aTAC. Many of us should revisit this. I always like reading them, and you have a great practice routine, and I’m sure your making great strides in your playing. I get bored after 10 minutes, so I tend to do little micro sessions.

Happy NGD @Guitargeezer-Jack ! Can you post a photo of it? I think it’s worth the extra $ if you know you’ll be away from home for an extended period.

Happy birthday & NGD @Mrfredsporty ! What a great gift to yourself. May you enjoy it for a long time. I agree with the previous reply, please post pictures.

Hey @Dirk_R Because of COVID, they’ve postponed ALF (Acoustic Life Festival) the past 2 years. Not sure if they’ll be planning one for 2023. TAC will post something about it late 2022/early 2023 if it’s going to happen.

@aj2323 Welcome to guitar and TAC! The old site had a map and JAM clubs, but the new site didn’t incorporate those functions, and they’re well missed. @ChuckS is correct in that if you click on your profile menu at the top right and click on members, you can search for people near you and message them directly. Try and search by state only, because it doesn’t have a radius capability and will only show you exactly what you search for.

Welcome back Janet. Take it slow and steady while easing back into playing. You’ll pick up things quickly enough. As for your neck, do stretches up and down and side to side. There is one stretch I swear by, but I’m not sure I can explain it. Hold head straight, and the tuck chin in while stretching neck downward. Ask your doctor for neck and shoulder stretches that you can do before and after playing.

I believe you have a great gift in writing @BethL ! I sense it’s a form of therapy too. Beautiful song. Sing this one for your mother.

I’d love to get together sometime. I truly believe I’m still pretty green under the belt, but I’d love to play and learn with others. Private message me whenever.
