This sounded great @CamCan ! Very in tune with the backing track, and I really like your use of the full neck.

Welcome to the TAC community @Mrfredsporty ! Sounds like you’re enjoying your journey. A pick can be your friend. Just remember not to use a vise grip and keep your wrist loose. It’ll become 2nd nature soon.

Hi @Rob_NZ and welcome to TAC. You can take as little or as much time needed in the 30 days to play, but let me make a few comments and suggestions. I wouldn’t get hung up on a lesson for too long, because you’ll never move forward if you are shooting for perfection. We strive for continuous progress not perfection.
I would say spend a minimum of 10 minutes per day practicing, with emphasis on proper form (fretting, picking, etc). Don’t make speed your priority or goal, until you’ve gotten the foundation down. Mark a lesson complete after youve given it your best for at least 10 minutes. You can still work on it, but you are free to move on too. You can always revisit any of the lessons anytime you want. I went back through them all after completing the course, and I was amazed at how much better I could then play them.
Take a week to go through a section, and then move onto the next one.

@Al.E Congratulations on your 2nd TACiversary! Sounds as if things are working well for you, with your routine, and you’ve come fairly far in a short amount of time. It’s been nice getting to know you a little through your posts. May you have continued fun and success this year!

Hi @Ron-N Unfortunately, favorites organize on their own depending on the lesson type, and they’re not dated. If you happen to know what the lesson is, you can go to my favorites and search for it I tend to save them all.

You always do such fun songs @BethL . Your playing and writing has come so far this past year. Keep up the great work!

@Joemama Welcome to the TAC community! TAC teaches foundational skills that will make you a better player and able to use the skills when playing songs. Does it click at some point. Yes, I’ve had many moments of clarity and lightbulb moments throughout my journey. Sometimes slowly and sometimes quickly. THINK BACK TO 2 months ago and then today. Do you know more than you did then? If so, then you’re progressing.
As for practicing, you brought up a great point about walking away from the guitar when you’re frustrated, and when you returned to the guitar, bam — you were able to play something that was previously not clicking. That’s exactly what you should do when frustrated. I do several mini practices throughout a day — 10-20 minutes each. I rarely go longer than that.
Too much practice? I think so. The goal is for progress, not perfection. Practice a lesson for a minimum of 10 minutes and then mark a lesson complete. You will progress. The lessons cycle through and come back around every 8 or so months, and you’ll be surprised at how much better you play them. You can still practice it longer, but not to the point of total frustration. If you like a lesson and want to save it, then hit the small heart at the bottom right of the video, and it will save it in your profile, favorites.
The guitar is a difficult instrument to learn, so try and be patient with yourself. You want the journey to continue to be fun.

Some great wins @Brian2501 ! As for the B chord, those A-shaped barre chords are really difficult. I end up using my ring finger and my pinky to fret, because my ring finger isn’t flexible or strong enough to hold down 3 strings, and the bend in knuckle area leaves a gap making it impossible to fret 3 strings together.

Thanks @Christopher_H On rare occasions I’m able to figure out vocals with the strumming or tune. Doesn’t happen often, but this would have been a pretty boring performance without them. It was a fun tuning. I feel like I have to have a dedicated guitar just for it, As for strumming, I’m getting better, but when I do struggle aim glaringly aware of it. I’m sure I’m just being too hard on myself. Really appreciate you listening and your words of encouragement.
