Nice win Kevin! It’s a definite win when we can see our own improvement.

Remember, this too shall pass and we’ll be on the home stretch in the fairly near future. You always have us 🙂

I love to hear stories of rejuvenation @Wickedpissah316 , and it sounds as if you’re having fun which is one of the top reasons you’ll keep at it.
You can use electric or acoustic, but most are probably using their acoustic. The electric makes it easier for a beginner with regard to chords, especially barre chords. You could get the basics down on electric and then work on them on the acousitc since you’ll have the principle skills. Bottom line, it’s up to you.

@Moonhare This was such a great video of your journey, and what a fantastic one it has been. I’m so glad you were able to be there for your friend, Chewy. What a great testament of love and support. Keep at it, and based on your background there is no doubt you will pick it up rapidly. Maybe in a year you can post a true guitar testament to your friend. Keep on plunking!!

Kids are so responsive to music. I think it’s great that you were able to 1) improv and 2) make your nephew laugh like that. Great wins @Lange22

It’s a definite win when you can transition to and from barre chords smoothly

Hey @CliffyB – TAC did away with the individual gear forum, so this is as good a place as ever to post your gear question or comment.

It grows on ya once you are able to play it consistently. Keep at it, and soon it will be a true favorite. Keep on plunking!

Excellent picking there @ScottyMac . I can see how the timing might be challenging in a few places. Laughed at your closing remarks. Funny how that little red light can make it so much more difficult to get a clean take. Your work paid off!

@KevinZ I’m not sure I could dance or sing this in a theater show. I get too nervous and my voice and hands shake. I don’t like that much attention on me either. Thanks for listening, and for the encouragement.

Thanks @Alfred I couldn’t see the chord sheet for the words when I was trying to sing. So my German really was a made up language in a sense. I only got a about every other word – LOL. I probably should have just skipped the entire German verse, but it was too tempting not to try. It feels a little like have a mouth full of marbles or marshmallow. Unable to enunciate.
