Bunt? I think not @charlie_d – more like a line drive into the corner – allowing all men on base to score easily while you round 3rd base, eyeing home plate🤩 !!
A really clean and crisp improv – great melody – great sound!👏👏👏

Great video mix @ErikBog 👏🤩👏 I know that you had to have perfect timing/tempo in order to mix those 2 parts🤔👍👍 I’ll just say that your arrangement was superb😎🤩😎

But I have to agree with @jumpinjeff . What I see (between the “Skills” courses and the Daily challenges) is that we are being shown a way to learn, which allows us to grow at our own pace. Playing notes on the scales against backing tracks allows for the 1) ability to understand the scale fully – to know the notes that are 3rds and fifths etc. and how they fit with the chords of those backing tracks and 2) eventually a way to come up with our own melodies, so that we can do an improv (solo) – on our own, using what we’ve learned – no, we won’t be Rock Stars overnight😱 But I do have confidence that I’m learning and understanding, musically, what I’ve learned to this point in time! Talk to me in 3 months and I’m confident that I’ll know and understand a little more – as things click in my head and transpose into my guitar playing abilities🤩

Hi @campfire , so like @Loraine said if you like it and it feels comfortable to you while playing – then that’s all that matters👍 So new models cost around $430, just make sure you’re paying less because it’s used! Look for nicks, scratches, cracks and other defects, like separation of the top or bottom from the sides or the finger board from the neck (particularly make sure the neck isn’t bowed). Make sure the frets aren’t sticking out beyond the plane of the neck where you can feel them while running your fretting hand up and down the neck (I bought a new Fender for a friend and the frets had to be filed due to that same problem). Make sure all the electronics work properly. Make sure the action (height of the strings above the fretboard) is what you want – rule of thumb is 3/32″ at the 12th fret.
If everything checks out, you’ve got yourself a nice looking guitar🎸🤩🎸

Hi @andy_e , my 2 cents if you want to hear it. You’re going to have pain in the tips of the fretting fingers – especially if you’re new to, or haven’t played guitar for a while. You’re going to have to deal with it😱 for now, but it will subside through time. How much time? That’s based on how often you play guitar. I say, play until it starts to really bother you, then stop and give those digits a rest. Don’t over do it, but still try to do something with guitar every day. Eventually, you won’t feel any pain, and you won’t be able to feel anything when you try to find something in your pocket(lol) – I know this from experience🤣 Have fun and play guitar🎸

It reminded me of when my wife gave birth to our daughter (Lauren) and I would sing that song to her when she was having difficult times with a newborn. Thank you for allowing me to remember those early times in our life🤩

Hello again @campfire , so what I mean about the frets is that when you run your fretting hand up and down the neck like you’re going to make a barre chord for instance, your grip will be a little tighter on the neck – if you feel the edge of the frets jabbing or hitting the skin of your fingers or palm (or thumb) 😱 then the edges of the frets will need to be filed so that you don’t feel anything like what I described – hopefully someone else in the community can describe what I”m referring to a little better than me👍
Like I said before, if all is well then it sounds like you have yourself a nice guitar🤩
